A new 2016 Christmas rock track has been written, created and then recorded in a Phuket recording studio in Thailand by songwriter ‘Mark Hopkins’ with the main goal of bringing attention and exposure for the Phuket island charity and Orphanage that Mark supports. You can listen and read more by going to the Tsunami Day web site .
The songs name is: I’m coming home for Christmas and the songs sound is a distinctive up-tempo rock/rock-pop song. Mark wrote and semi recorded a demo song guide of ‘I’m coming home for Christmas’ in late 2015 on Phuket and has kept the demo track since then waiting for the opportunity to record once again. In August 2016 Mark started the studio recording process and used local session players to record the tune durring a 6 week period. The songs includes 8 differant tracks and all session musicians were from the Philippines, including the female lead singer ‘Micah Javier’.
Even though I’m coming home for Christmas was studio recorded on Phuket island the mixing and mastering was made in the United States because of Mark wanted the best outcome and quality. The music ready to be listened to and downloaded by going to the ‘Tsunami Day’ web site.
The key aim of recording I’m coming home for Christmas is to bring as many people to the Tsunami Day site as possible and then hopefully in-turn they’ll be kind enough to donate to 1 or every one of the Phuket island charities, and to also buy the track.
One other primary goal is to be able enough downloads of the track to help fund and set up a Phuket live music cafe with open stage and recording studio / teaching room on Phuket, that’ll provide free instructions and tuition to local underprivileged children from the area’s schools and orphanages. Up to now ‘La QingTing’ isn’t open right now but the website is below. (QingTing means: Dragon Fly in Chinese if you’re wondering).
About: Mark set-up the Tsunami Day web site to promote his tune Tsunami Day which was inspired from his own personal experiences while he was residing in Patong back in 2004 once the Tsunami hit Patong on boxing day. Just like ‘I’m Coming Home For Xmas’the track Tsunami Day also brought awareness to regional Phuket Charities and children’s Orphanages. On the ‘Tsunami Day’ web site there’s numerous methods to greatly help including a Phuket Resort and cheap flights to Thailand booking system. Every dime helps.
Credits: Mark would like to credit his sponsors: Michael Dietvorst (CEO of Oriental Living), Stuart Baker (GM of Food Hygiene Asia), Alan Cooke ( MBE ), Adam Goodman (GM of Two Chefs Restaurants) and Cassius Rolfe-Johnson (CEO of Phuket Home Services).
