There are the classic Who, What, When, Where and Why with this comic thriller.
The cast of characters are settling set for their new situations. They think that nothing much needs to be happening to upset that world, yet, these are surprisingly wrong.
This tale of innuendo, gossip, lies, misdirection and intrigue results in authentically being a comedy of errors and misinformation. The idea is simple enough and just subtle enough use a good base.
Ma Foster provides housing to be with her “girls,” Bella, Chloe and Kitty. Typically the three in residence are missing. Ma makes a big problem about this. She even visits a nearby newspaper once the local police don’t respond to her fears. She does fascinate the out-of-work detective, the newest editor from the local newspaper and as a final point town itself.
The central character is Henrietta, who had been named following your town showcased, Henryetta, Oklahoma. Henrietta provides extensive opting for her today, she’s gone to live in the important city, OKC, OK and landed employment with the local t.v. station. Of course this doesn’t strengthen your journalistic career, it can get her during Vacancies and events of the day. Harold Mixon, the owner and editor emeritus from the local weekly newspaper, just put on the web is trying to possess a pleasant and quiet Labor Day weekend along with his friends in the International Order of Odd Fellows (I.O.O.F.).
The other main characters are Gigi Carpenter, a feminist reporter turned editor from the local newspaper. Max (Maximo) Morgan a would-be gum shoe private detective with a penchant for old murder mysteries, especially Dashiel Hammet’s “Fat Man” tales. Then Deano DeBoffo because “reality” show director trying to shot an airplane pilot for a new show. Finally, Shatner Lapp, being a newsman, publisher, editor and all-round classic boy, comes to town to assistance with his Princeton buddy’s newspaper problems.
Once these folks try the gossip laden townsfolk, the misinformation flies. With more rumors then your facts probably warrant, these missing girls be plus much more objects of speculation and intrigue while almost no factual details are given. The rumors start off mild because missing girls are only looked for by Ma and Maximo.
These rumors and gossip finally resulted in a significant “reporter war” between Shat and Gigi. The misinformation here becomes the avalanche cascading in the news and therefore the townspeople.
