Remember when going back to school meant getting a few notebooks, a brand new box of crayons, and new shoes? If you wore a uniform to college, it is likely you got some of those too; otherwise, you’ve got a few new outfits. That has been it.
Well, times have changed. The provision list now contains items that was previously supplied by the schools – like scissors, glue and tissues. Every child needs a new backpack, notebooks, paper, pens (red, blue and black), glue sticks, ruler, tape, scissors, markers, folders along with a calculator. If you have two children so you shop the sales, you may still wind up coughing up a lot more than $100.00 in supplies alone. Which doesn’t even count the brand new clothes your son or daughter “has to have” or the fees which can be needed for art projects, lab costs, etc.
Don’t even get me moving on the supplies, including furniture and appliances, your youngster needs for faculty. Will it ever end?
Below are great tips to save cash on painting supplies this year.
1) Recycle – Determine whatever you curently have at home. You probably have assorted crayons, markers, colored pencils, etc. available your house. Put these together in the pencil box and that should help save a couple of dollars.
2) Re-use – Kids believe last year’s backpack needs to go, but a quick trip over the washer can provide it new life.
3) Reduce – Does your youngster have a notebook from this past year which has three pages of written material in it and 77 blank pages left? Did you find this notebook within the trash – or worse – the garbage? Now could be fun to discuss waste and keeping it as small as possible by letting the most use possible of all the item.
