Little Alchemy is a game of learning from your errors.
It’s free, and it’s designed for iPhone and Android (through Google Play); you can even play online.
The principles of play are pretty straight forward. Beginning from four elements: air, earth, fire, and water, which appear as icons in your screen. By adding any two elements together, you obtain another “element,” which might or might not be combinable consequently. Elements are added by dragging one over another, at which either nothing happens (simply because they don’t make a new challenge), or possibly a new icon appears of their place. You can an element to itself; air + air = pressure, by way of example. There are 560 issues you can make, plus one bonus item (i found about halfway through.) You’ll find yourself dropping and dragging if you use a few minutes to spare, trying to create another element.
The screen shows the weather you’ve already made for the right; the left side in the screen is made for combining elements. A counter towards the bottom shows you the number of elements you’ve made from the wide ranging 560. (The screenshot was apparently taken during an earlier iteration in the game, when only 500 elements may be created.) You’ll be able to set the library to demonstrate either all of the elements you’ve created, or only the ones that can be combined; “final elements” include the end in the road and can’t be employed to create other components. You may also choose to have final elements underlined, so that you can differentiate between them. “Flood” from the screenshot is often a final element.
