How weddings have changed within the decades! From your handful to 400-500 invited guests; one-two to six-eight wedding party members; a straightforward wedding car to expensive and enormous wedding cars; three course meals in order to six course meals; one to three live bands; simple attire to colorful and flamboyant dresses, suits and attire and off-the-cuff to well-prepared wedding speeches.

Speaking of the second, wedding speeches continue to be a fundamental part of a married relationship and guests do look forward to hearing them, referring to them before, during as well as after they’ve been delivered.

We know of wedding speeches delivered before the meal, throughout the meal and after your food, however it’s of your strong opinion the father of the groom speech should be delivered after the meal. I know that for many wedding party speakers i.e. Father of the Bride Speech, Father from the Groom Speech, Bride Speech, Groom Speech and Bestman Speech (the 5 main speakers), they might prefer to contain the wedding speeches before the meal, for them to enjoy their meal (some of them are paying for it!). However, all is here the invited guests and exactly how most of them (and even the marriage venue staff) would rather wedding ceremony speeches to get delivered after the meal for many reasons, a few of which include:

The invited guests are already fed and watered and are not hearing wedding speeches before eating any breakfast (at least of food, which could be the case prior to meal, though weddings today do provide light snacks upon arrival at the wedding venue)
Food may be cooked and served in the agreed time (introduce the wedding speeches prior to the meal and their can be quite a delay of 15 minutes to a single.5 hours, driving your home staff crazy always keeping food freshly cooked, presentable and edible)
The wedding speeches behave as the transition through the meal towards the dancing (broke and alone happening as soon as the meal, individuals are expecting ‘a few words’ being shared in regards to the Bride & Groom after which they understand they could wake up, maneuver around, take a break, go for a walk, visit the bar…)
It can be difficult for moms and dads of the Bride & Groom to speak in public areas, as most of them may not be used than it. So, they may, should they so wished, speak prior to the / their meal.

There should still be some sort of formal wedding speech(es) as soon as the meal…
