BlackBerry 10.2.1 introduced the opportunity to install .APK files, what are app files utilized in Android, directly to your phone. This throws the doors offered to install a wide variety of Android apps on the BlackBerry 10 device, maybe it’s a Z10, Q10, Q5, Z30, or something different. This had been possible through a long, convoluted process, but it’s easier now. Basically, if you cannot find an app in BlackBerry World, chances are there are more sources to your favorite app.

Step two: Receive the APK file on the BlackBerry
You can get an play store for blackberry on the BlackBerry by visiting the source within your BlackBerry browser (which is easiest option), e-mailing yourself the file, or moving the file from your computer on your phone by plugging them together with a USB cable.

Step # 3: Install the APK file from the BlackBerry
In case you downloaded the APK from the browser, the Downloads window should have already sprouted asking in places you want to reserve it and just what the filename must be; just tap the file if it’s done. If the download window isn’t there, it is easy enough to get backup. Tap the overflow menu button from the bottom-right (three little dots), and tap Downloads.

If the file was transferred to your phone in a alternative way, you’ll find it easily by tapping the magnifying glass icon from your home screen at the bottom in the middle and typing “.apk” from the search engine at the top. Anything you’ve moved over should appear under the Documents and Files result. Just tap the main one you wish to install.

Your Android app should start installing after a short “Processing” indicator. Tap the Install button from the top right, and tap Accept for the pop-up window which informs you in the device permissions which are required for the app to perform.

Extra information
The 1st time you install an .APK, you’ll be prompted to change off a safety setting which otherwise blocks installing of these files. The last installation screen should return which has a handy “Open” button replacing the “Install” button if it’s done. At this point, the app will now appear alongside your other apps. Just swipe for the home screen from directly to made a few times to find the icon and place it in whatever folder or home screen that suits you. Hold your finger for the icon for a moment to pull it around. Something else you might do is hide the bar at the bottom in the screen. Just swipe below the most notable if the app is open, and tap Hide bar.

Now, keep in mind that there won’t be any guarantees that these apps will be advertised. BlackBerry does not run Android, it can just run Android apps. The Android app player in BlackBerry 10 is nice, and really should handle almost all of what you throw advertising. Test things out and tell us what’s working and just what isn’t from the comments!
