A brand new 2016 Christmas rock tune has been written, composed and then studio recorded in a Phuket recording studio in Thailand by songwriter ‘Mark Hopkins’ with the main aim of getting attention and exposure for the Phuket island charities and Orphanage that Mark supports. You can listen and read more by going to the Tsunami Day, Phuket site .

The tunes name is: I’m coming home for Christmas and the tracks style is a unique up-tempo rock n roll track. Mark wrote and semi recorded a demo song guide of ‘I’m coming home for Christmas’ in 2015 on Phuket and has kept the demo guide since then waiting for the possibility to record once again. In August 2016 Mark started the recording process and used local session musicians to record the track durring a six week period. The songs contains 8 separate tracks and all session players were from the Philippines, including the female lead artist ‘Micah Javier’.
Although I’m coming home for Christmas was studio recorded on Phuket the mixing and mastering was made in the USA due to Mark wanted the most effective outcome and quality. The track ready to be heard and downloaded by visiting the ‘Tsunami Day’ web site.
The main aim of studio recording I’m coming home for Xmas is to bring as many visits to the Tsunami Day web site that we can and then we hope in-turn they will be kind enough to help to one or all the Phuket charities, and to also download the track.
One other definitive goal is to be able enough downloads of the song to help fund and setup a Phuket live music bar with open stage and recording studio / teaching room on Phuket, that’ll provide free lessons and tuition to local underprivileged kids from the local colleges and children’s orphanages. Currently ‘La QingTing’ isn’t open right now but the website is below. (QingTing means: Dragon Fly in Chinese if you are wondering).
About: Mark set-up the Tsunami Day site to advertise his music Tsunami Day that was inspired from his own personal experiences while he was living in Patong in 2004 once the Tsunami devistated Patong on boxing day. Much like ‘I’m Coming Home For Christmas’the track Tsunami Day also brought awareness to local Phuket Charities and children’s Orphanages. On the ‘Tsunami Day’ web site there’s numerous methods to simply help including a Phuket Hotel and cheap flight booking to Thailand booking system. Every penny helps.
Credits: Mark would like to credit his sponsors: Michael Dietvorst (CEO of Oriental Living), Stuart Baker (GM of Food Hygiene Asia), Alan Cooke ( MBE ), Adam Goodman (GM of Two Chefs Restaurants) and Cassius Rolfe-Johnson (CEO of Phuket Home Services).
