A new 2016 Xmas rock n roll song has been written, created and then studio recorded in a Phuket recording studios in Thailand by songwriter ‘Mark Hopkins’ with the key purpose of bringing attention and exposure for the Phuket island charities and Orphanage that Mark supports. The tunes title is: I’m coming home for Christmas and the tracks style is a unique up-tempo rock/rock-pop track. Mark wrote and semi studio recorded a demo song guide of ‘I’m coming home for Christmas’ in 2015 on Phuket island and has kept the demo track since then looking forward to the opportunity to record once again. In late August 2016 Mark started the recording process and used session musicians to studio record the tune durring a 6 week period. The track includes 8 differant tracks and all session players were from the Philippines, including the lead vocalist ‘Micah Javier’.
Even though I’m coming home for Christmas was studio recorded on Phuket the mixing and mastering was made in the USA due to Mark wanted the most effective outcome and quality. The track ready to be heard and downloaded by visiting the ‘Tsunami Day’ web site.
The key aim of studio recording I’m coming home for Xmas is to bring as many visits to the Tsunami Day website as we can and then we hope in-turn they will be good enough to give to one or any of the Phuket island charities, and to also buy the track.
One other primary goal is to have enough downloads of the tune to fund and create a Phuket live music club with open stage and recording studio / training room on Phuket, that will present free instructions and tuition to local underprivileged children from the area’s colleges and orphanages. Up to now ‘La QingTing’ isn’t currently open yet but the website is below. (QingTing means: Dragon Fly in Chinese if you are wondering).
About: Mark set-up the Tsunami Day internet site to promote his track Tsunami Day which was influenced from his own personal experiences while he was living in Patong in 2004 when the Tsunami hit Patong on boxing day. Much like ‘I’m Coming Home For Xmas’the track Tsunami Day also brought awareness to regional Phuket Charities and children’s Orphanages.
