A new 2016 Christmas rock tune has been written, created and then recorded in a Phuket recording studio in Thailand by songwriter ‘Mark Hopkins’ with the key aim of bringing attention and exposure for the Phuket island charities and children’s Orphanages that Mark supports. You can listen and read more by going to the Tsunami Day web site .
The tunes name is: I’m coming home for Christmas and the songs is a special up-tempo rock n roll track. Mark wrote and partially recorded a demo song guide of ‘I’m coming home for Christmas’ in late 2015 on Phuket and has kept the demo track since then awaiting the possibility to record once again. In August 2016 Mark started the studio recording process and used local session musicians to studio record the track durring a six week period. The track contains 8 differant tracks and all session players were from the Philippines, including the female lead artist ‘Micah Javier’.
Even though I’m coming home for Christmas was recorded on Phuket the mixing and mastering was made in the United States as a result of Mark wanted the very best result and quality. The song is currently ready to be listened to and downloaded by going to the ‘Tsunami Day’ Website.
The main goal of recording I’m coming home for Christmas is to bring as many visits to the Tsunami Day site as we can and then we hope in-turn they’ll be kind enough to give to at least one or all the Phuket island charities, and to also download the track.
The other main goal is to have enough downloads of the tune to help fund and create a Phuket live music club with open stage and studio / teaching room on Phuket, that will offer free instructions and tuition to local underprivileged kids from the neighborhood colleges and children’s orphanages. Up to now ‘La QingTing’ isn’t currently open yet but the web site is below. (QingTing means: Dragon Fly in Chinese if you are wondering).
About: Mark set-up the Tsunami Day website to promote his tune Tsunami Day which was inspired from his own particular experiences while he was living in Patong back in 2004 once the Tsunami hit Patong on boxing day. Just like ‘I’m Coming Home For Xmas’the song Tsunami Day also brought awareness to regional Phuket Charities and . On the ‘Tsunami Day’ site there’s numerous methods to help including a Phuket island Villa and budget flight booking to Phuket booking system. Every cent helps.
